Title: Direct Support Professional
Salary: $11.00 with benefits (raise after 3-6 months with evaluation)
Hours: 28 direct care, 4 indirect

Alternative, arts-based day program for adults with disabilities seeks a highly motivated and creative individual to join our support team.  The direct support professional would be responsible for providing artistic, community, recreational, and vocational activities for adults with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injury. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: assistance with ADL's, transportation, studio and gallery upkeep (including sales and promotion at events) and daily clinical documentation.

Minimal Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license and proof of safe driving history
- High School Diploma

Additional preferred qualities:
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or traumatic brain injury
- Highly self-motivated, creative, reliable, and flexible
- Works well in a team, as well as independently with minimal direction
- Ability to resolve issues calmly and creatively in an emotionally charged environment
- Ability to motivate and work effectively with a wide variety of clientele
- Positive, fun-loving demeanor
- Independent thinker
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Preference and additional hours will be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following:
- Working knowledge of Dreamweaver (on Mac) and web design skills
- Experience in vocational training and vocational program development for adults with developmental disabilities
- Experience in case management and human services administration
